Chic-a-go Fire

Okay, peeps, not only does Chicago Fire have amazing pizza (seriously, I have yet to try one I don't like) but they also have some great specials for happy hour. Head down to the red brick pizzeria on M-F during 4-6 pm and you can get 1/2 off their appetizers. Though the list is small (buffalo wings, baked artichoke and greek fries), you could order all three, split them with friends, and make it a meal. You know you need food to temper down all that happy hour alcohol, so why not make it tasty food? Additionally, they have PBR on tap for $1 pint. For those of you who are like me and harbor a secret love of the PBR (or maybe not so secret now), this is the best deal in town. Editors Note: I believe Pine Cove charges $2 a pint, although you can get that deal at times other than happy hour.

Look for me at the bar, I'll be the one drinking $1 pints for 2 hours.

Hawk-toberfest

Peeps, it's time to hit the Beach Hut Deli. From now through the end of October, your first pint of Eye of the Hawk is only a $1. This is a steal for those of us that enjoy the tasty ales of Mendocino Brewing Company. Even if you're not a big fan of the Hawk, this is a great way to kick off your happy hour adventures. But if you want to be picky, other domestic and micro beers are $1 off their original price during happy hour. These deals are good M-F from 4-6 pm. They also sell litres of beer, though I haven't yet confirmed what the happy hour rate is on these glorious bundles of joy. And who knows? Maybe while you're there, you'll connect with other happy hour minded folks and you'll go on an impromptu pub crawl down J Street. We at the Peeping Susan would endorse such behavior.

The Starting Gun

Stop doing stuff...and start drinking! This is what The Peeping Susan is all about.

Imagine you live in Midtown Sacramento. And it's a random Wednesday night. How do you locate the bar with the best happy hour specials? Where do you go to determine which cheesy dip is worth venturing out for? And is there a place you can go to to drink a $3 beer? Imagine you've spent hours searching the web for answers to these important questions. Maybe you even perused local print media. Or asked your co-workers. And your efforts were all unsuccessful. You might start feeling disheartened at this point, right?

Do not fret. The Peeping Susan has done all the research for you. We've hit the streets and compiled a list of all the best drinking and happy hour specials this backwards town has to offer. And by town, I mean Midtown. Any place off the grid doesn't register in my GPS.

Settle in. Rest your weary feet. Drink a beer! We'll tell you where.
